Tomy Winata - Founder

Tomy Winata is the founder of Artha Graha Network. According to The Washington Post, he “rose from a car washer and office boy to become one of the nation’s richest men”. Aside from his businesses, Tomy Winata has established a social non-profit foundation called Artha Graha Peduli (AGP) Foundation, which has five major social activities: provision of emergency relief to victims of natural disasters in Indonesia and abroad; humanitarian programs in food resilience, education and health; programs to save the environment; people empowerment through Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs); and provision of legal assistance for the underprivileged. Tomy Winata also runs a conservation area that manages a rescue center for the critically endangered Sumatran tiger and conserves endemic wildlife of Sumatra in Tambling Wildlife Nature Conservation (TWNC), a national park in Lampung Province, Sumatra. In addition to 48,153 hectares of forest, TWNC also includes 14,500 hectares of marine conservation area. In March 2013, in Madrid, Spain, Tomy Winata with Mangrove Care Forum Bali managed to convince Cristiano Ronaldo to be the Ambassador of Mangroves Care Forum Bali. Tomy Winata and Ronaldo agreed to conserve and preserve the existing mangroves forest in Bali.

Heru Budi Wasesa – Executive Director

Born in Jakarta, 14th November 1969, Heru joined Artha Graha Network since 2005 and extended his career when he was entrusted to be the Executive Director of Artha Graha Peduli (AGP) Foundation from 2010 to 2013. Heru actualizes his concern on environment and human empowerment through the participation in the development of Conservation Area known as Tambling Wildlife Nature Conservation (TWNC) in Lampung Province. Heru finished his master degree in Indonesia Defense University, with the title Master of Science (Defense) in 2011. In 2012, Heru was entrusted to be the representative of AGP as the Chairman of Mangrove Care Forum Bali (FPMB). And in March 2016, to pass along the leadership of FPMB internal management to the younger generation, he was appointed as FPMB Executive Director.

Steve W.D. Sumolang - Chairman

Born in Jakarta, 29th May 1982, Steve Sumolang is the Chairman of Mangrove Care Forum Bali. He was appointed as the new chairman of FPMB in March 2016 to replace Heru Dharsono. He has a broad experience in the world of entertainment, entrepreneurship, event organizer, social activity, and environmental efforts. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Law from Tarumanegara University Jakarta. In 2015, he was appointed as the Vice Chairman of Artha Graha Peduli delegation for Indonesia Pavilion in Milan Expo 2015. Afterwards, he also was selected as the delegation for Indonesia Pavilion in UNFCCC COP 21 Paris to represent FPMB as a good model in Indonesia as an effort in mitigating climate change.

Alwan Prabowo – Deputy Chairman

Born in Surabaya, 13th January 1980, Alwan Prabowo is the Deputy Chairman of Mangrove Care Forum Bali. He graduated from Udayana University Bali in Majoring Agriculture in 2009. He had experience in several Non-Profit Organization in Bali and Jakarta. He was the Project and Area Coordinator of Manikaya Kauci Foundation in Bali. He also was the Field Project Assistant for Bali and NTB Province when he was working for International Organization of Migration (IOM) founded by European Union. He also actively take part in some of Artha Graha Peduli social activity in Bali, Lombok, and Jakarta.

Arnata Riana – General Secretary

Born in Badung, 29th May 1985, Arnata is the the General Secretary of Mangrove Care Forum Bali. He start his professional career at Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel Bali since 2005 which is still part of Artha Graha Group. In 2011, he was transferred to Jakarta to help on several Artha Graha Group development and green project including Artha Graha Peduli social programs. Starting from 2013 until now, he was assigned to help on Artha Graha Peduli mangrove revitalization project with Mangrove Care Forum Bali in Ngurah Rai Grand Forest Park.

Ni Wayan Daningsih – Head of Secretariat

Born in Denpasar, March 13th, 1977, Daningsih now lives in Tanjung Benoa, Badung, where most of her family also lives there. Some of her family also works as fishermen dan runs watersport business in Tanjung Benoa. This makes her to have a good relationship and extensive connections with most fishermen’s and watersport owners in Tanjung Benoa. Daningsih graduated from STP Nusa Dua Bali in 1998 majoring Room Division Management. She spent most of her professional careen in hotelier and service business by working at several places such as at Bali Hilton International, PT. Bali Marine International, and Ramada Resort Benoa. In 2013, she decided to work for Kartika Plaza Hotel Bali, and in the same year she was assigned to help Artha Graha Group mangrove revitalization project with Forum Peduli Mangrove Bali in Ngurah Rai Grand Forest Park until today. Today, Daningsih is the Head of Secretariat of Forum Peduli Mangrove Bali.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro was born in Portugal February 5th 1985. He is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Spanish club Real Madrid and the Portugal national team. He became the world’s most expensive player, when Real Madrid signed him for 94 million Euros in 2009 from Manchester United. He is considered to be one of the best football players and one of the biggest sports stars in the world. He won FIFA Ballon d'Or in 2013 and 2014. In 2015, he was named the best Portuguese player of all time by the Portuguese Football Federation. In March 2013, Ronaldo agreed to be the ambassador of Mangrove Care Forum Bali to raise the awareness on mangrove conservation. Ronaldo's appointment as the mangrove ambassador was sealed in a meeting in Madrid on March 8th 2013 with Tomy Winata, the founder of Tambling Wildlife Nature Conservation and Mangrove Care Forum Bali. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 56th session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs, the central policymaking body of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). Then, on June 26th 2013, Cristiano Ronaldo was Inaugurated as the ambassador of Mangrove Care Forum Bali which was attended by the former President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and his Board of Ministers that followed by mangrove planting event at Telaga Waja, Tanjung Benoa.

Sabar Gorky is a disabled mountaineer from Solo, Central Java, who dream to conquer the seven summits of the world. Currently, Sabar has completed four summits of his seven summits mission by climbing the highest mountains of each of the seven continents. The Four summits he has already climbed are Mount Carstensz (Indonesia), Mount Elbrus (Russia), Mount Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), and Mount Aconcagua (Argentina). Sabar Gorky is not a mountaineer without any achievement. Although only has one leg, but he has already won various achievements. Including the first prize in the Asian Wall Climbing Championships in South Korea in 2009, and fourth place winner in the World Climbing Championships in Paris in 2012. Gorky was the name added as Sabar last name after he reached the summit of Mount Elbrus, Russia. According to historical records of Russia, because of his winding life, the poet Alexey Maximovich Peshkov was called as Maxim Gorky which means Maxim the owner of bitter lives. Gorky (bitter) which was originally a mockery for Maxim now is a nickname that has a positive meaning. Therefore, now Indonesia also has a new Gorky, which is Sabar Gorky. On February 7th, 2016, Sabar Gorky was inaugurated as the second Ambassador of Mangrove Care Forum Bali. This inauguration was held together with mangrove planting event in Telaga Waja, Tanjung Benoa. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the delegation of National Press Day committee and foreign journalists from Turkey and Confederation of ASEAN Journalists (CAJ).

Artha Graha Peduli (AGP) Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Artha Graha Network (AG Network) which has five major social activities: provision of emergency relief to victims of natural disasters in Indonesia and abroad; humanitarian programs in food resilience, education and health; programs to save the environment; people empowerment through Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs); and provision of legal assistance for the underprivileged. Mangrove Care Forum Bali is one of Artha Graha Peduli form of commitments to save the environment.

TAMBLING WILDLIFE NATURE CONSERVATION

Konservasi Alam Margasatwa Tambling (TWNC) adalah kawasan konservasi awalnya dijalankan / dikelola oleh Artha Graha Yayasan Peduli sejak tahun 1996. TWNC merupakan bagian dari kesepakatan Kolaborasi antara AGP dan Kementerian Kehutanan. TWNC terletak di ujung selatan Pulau Sumatera yang mencakup 48,153 hektar kawasan hutan lindung dan 14.500 hektar kawasan konservasi laut. TWNC merupakan habitat yang baik bagi banyak satwa yang terancam punah seperti Harimau Sumatera, Gajah Sumatera, Badak Sumatera, dll TWNC juga memiliki distribusi vegetasi hutan mangrove yang luas, dan menjadi salah satu tempat untuk Forum Peduli Mangrove Bali untuk melakukan studi banding.
